ATTACHING COLLAR TO RIGHT FRONT SECTION
REPEAT STEPS 16 THROUGH 18 OF LEFT' FRONT SECTION.
LEG STRAP AND FINAL ASSEMBLY
Assemble and lock shoulder snaps in place.

Fold part 27 in half and place 3/4 by 1-1/2 inches
box X tack approximately 1-1/4 inches from fold through
both halves.
Attach one end of right side assembly by using (2) 3/4

by 1-1/2 inches box X tacks at drill holes (D-7);
When tacking be certain a small loop is allowed to form
looseness in belt loop. Attach other end to left side
assembly front using this same procedure.
Drill holes in part 25 for studs and sockets using

special fixture for location on webbing.
Attach studs and sockets.

Place 2 D-rings on belt until studs and sockets line up:

lock in position with 3/4 by 7/8-inches box X tack
allowing D-rings to have about 1/4 inch movement:
Place 1 D-ring on opposite end; Fold webbing under to
use a 3/4 by 7/8 inches box X tack through three
thicknesses of webbing with a tight fit.
Attach ball tip to end of strap next to stud assembly.

Take part 26 and attach ball tip to one end.

Install (2) grommets on ball tip end at 1 inches and 3
inches centers from end.
Lace body strap through leg strap part 27 and attach

with 3/4 by 7/8 inches box X tack 30 inches from
center to end of body strap with balltip; lace part 25
to part 26 and place 1 D-ring on end of part 26 folding
in raw edge of webbing and lock in position with 3/4
by 7/8 inches box X tack through 3 thicknesses
allowing a tight fit. NOTE :
Extra care must be taken
on this operation to make certain all straps are in
proper fashion and can not become twisted.
COVER IS NOW READY FOR FINAL INSPECTION
AND INSERTION OF FLOTATION FOAM PARTS.

Fold over cut edge (e) 1/2 inch, with the reverse side

of the cloth in, and hem.
Fold the piece thus formed, with the reverse side of the

cloth in, so that the cut edge (e-1) coincides with a
line (P) to (P-l).
Again fold the piece, with the reverse side of the cloth

in so that the fold formed in (2) coincides with the
selvage edge (e-2).
