3.6.14 Procedure for joining leg and groin pieces to side body.
Procedure
for joining leg and groin pieces to side body shall be as follows:
(a) Apply cement to the leg and groin pieces and side body joining
seams.
(b) Apply cement to the side bodies at the knee seams.
(c) Abut and press the joining seams firmly together according to
guides .
3,6.15 Procedure for closing crotch, seat and front seams.
Procedure for
closing crotch, seat and front seams shall be as follows:
(a) Apply cement to the crotch, seat and front seams.
(b) Abut and press the crotch, seat and front seams firmly together
according to guides.
3.6.16 Procedure for joining back piece to side body and attaching label.
Procedure for joining back piece to side body and attaching label shall be as
follows:
(a) Apply suitable adhesive to back side of label and secure to
inside of back piece. Label shall be centered (1/4 inch off
center tolerance) and approximately 1-1/2 to 2 inches from the
top edge of back piece.
(b) Apply cement to the back and side body joining seams.
(c) Abut and press the back and side body joining seams firmly
together according to guides.
3.6.17 Procedure for joining zipper assembly to back, side body and sleeve
pieces and closing assembled sleeve seams. Procedure for joining zipper
assembly to back, side body and sleeve pieces and closing assembled sleeve
seams shall be as follows:
(a) Apply cement to zipper assembly, back, side body and sleeve
pieces . Apply cement to assembled sleeve seams.
(b) Abut and press the joining seams firmly together according to
guides .
(c) The joining of the above seams shall start in the center of the
zipper panel; work one side of the suit then the other.
3.6.18 Procedure for joining boots to suit for finished appearance.
Procedure for joining boots to suit for finished appearance shall be as follows:
The joining seams of the boots to the suit shall finish even and flush with
each other. The boots shall finish on the proper leg, that is right on right;
left on left.
(a) Apply cement to the bottom of each leg and the top edges of each
assembled boot.
(b) Abut and press the boots and leg joining seams firmly together,
according to guides.
