3.3 Leakage. Each suit shall be tested for leaks in accordance with 4.8.1.
One leak per suit is allowed and shall be repaired only once in accordance with
4.8.2. If the suspect area shows further leakage after repair, the suit shall
be rejected. Any suit containing more than one leak shall be rejected.
3.4 Fabricate. The dress suit shall have a zipper closure across the
back shoulder area, attached boots and neck gasket ring. The seams shall be
cemented and reinforced on the inside with seal tape (see figure 1).
3.5 Patterns. Standard patterns will be furnished by the Government.
The standard patterns shall not be altered in any way and shall be used for
cutting the contractor's working patterns. The working patterns shall be
identical to the standard patterns.
3.5.1 Pattern parts. The component parts of the dress suit shall be cut
from the material specified and in accordance with the following pattern parts
required for the manufacturing process as specified in table IV.
