MILITARY SPECIFICATION
DIVING OUTFIT, LIGHTWEIGHT
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of
the Department of Defense.
1.
SCOPE
1.1 Scope, This specification covers a lightweight diving outfit utilizing
a demand breathing device for use in diving operations, employing two divers and
a standby diver to 190 feet when air is used for breathing and, additionally)
when supported by an open diving bell to 300 feet when helium-oxygen gas mixture
is used for breathing.
