5.1.1.2 Unit package. One divers dress suit, bagged as specified in
5.1.1.1, shall be placed front down, full length within a fiberboard container
conforming to style FTC (all flaps on length dimension), grade W5C of PPP-B-636
(see figure 4). Inside dimensions of the fiberboard container shall be approx-
imately 70 inches in length, 28 inches in width and 5 inches in depth. Approxi-
mate dimensions are furnished as a guide only. The box body shall be provided
with three 1 inch cotton or nylon tie-down tapes for securing the divers dress
suit at just below the armpit (approximately 14 inches from box end), over the
waist and just above the ankles. The tie-down tapes shall be secured to the box
body by any one of the methods specified on figure 3. Each divers dress suit
shall then be tied in place to prevent movement while in transit, but not tied
tight as to cause permanent creasing of the suit material at point of contact.
The fiberboard box shall be closed with pressure sensitive tape as specified
in the appendix of PPP-B-636.

5.2 Packing.
Packing shall be level A, B or commercial, as specified
(see 6.2.1).
5.2.1 Level A. Three divers dress suits, of one size only, preserved
as specified in 5.1, shall be packaged flat in a reusable plywood-cleated
shipping container conforming to overseas type, style A of PPP-B-601, except
that the container top shall be closed with wood screws, spaced as specified
(see figure 5). Inside dimensions of each container shall be approximately
71 inches in length, 29 inches in width and 16-1/2 inches in depth. Approximate
dimensions are furnished as a guide only. Toward the end of the contract, or
when there are less than the required amount per shipping container of the same
size, mixed sizes may be packed within the same container.
5.2.2 Level B. Three divers dress suits, of one size only, preserved
as specified in 5.1, shall be packed flat in a reusable plywood-cleated shipping
container conforming to domestic type, style A of PPP-B-601, except that the
container top shall be closed with wood screws, spaced as specified (see
figure 5). Inside dimensions of each container shall be approximately 71 inches
in length, 29 inches in width and 16-1/2 inches in depth. Approximate dimensions
are furnished as a guide only. When there are less than the required amount
per shipping container of the same size, mixed sizes may be packed within the
same container.
5.2.3 Commercial. Divers dress suits, of one size only, preserved as
specified in 5.1, shall be packed in accordance with ASTM D 3951.
5.3 Marking. In addition to any special marking required (see 6.2.1),
interior packages and shipping containers shall be marked in accordance with
MIL-STD-129. Marking for commercial shipment shall be in accordance with
ASTM D 3951.
5.3.1 Special marking. Each interior package and shipping container
